Mid-Session 9 Aug 18: Market extends yesterday’s gains

The energy sector is under pressure on Thursday following a 3% fall in oil prices overnight. The benchmark ASX 200 index is up 0.2 though, lifted higher by gains from consumer dictionary and financial stocks.
