AM Report 6 June 18: Tech higher trade concerns hitting transport and food producing firms

US sharemarkets were mixed on Tuesday. The Nasdaq hit an all-time record high, led by gains in Amazon (+1.9%) and Apple (+0.8%). Mylan shares rose by 3.8% after the US Food and Drug Administration approved cancer treatment drug Fulphila. Twitter shares rose by 5.1% after it was announced that it would join the S&P500 index. And Netflix shares (+1.1%) rose after entering the S&P100 index. US packaged food companies Kellogg and General Mills fell around 2% after Mexico announced retaliatory agricultural tariffs. The Dow Jones finished down by almost 14 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.1% and the Nasdaq index gained 31 points or 0.4%.
