- What did I learn about myself in the Ultra 50k?
- Resilience (The capacity to WITHSTAND or to recover quickly from difficulties)
- Mental fortitude is the ability to have strength in the face of adversity. When you're knocked down, get back up and fight. When you're struggling, tired, bored to keep your eye on the goal and continue working forward, to show up even when you don't feel like it.
- Physical Capabilities static strength, explosive strength, dynamic strength, trunk strength, extent flexibility, dynamic flexibility, gross body coordination, gross body equilibrium, and stamina
- Perseverance- persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success
- Determination – Firmness of purpose. (To LEVEL UP + LIVE) This is where I come alive.
- Team Effort – The Support System.
It makes all the difference in the world when you have people that support you, believe in you and cheer you on to enjoy the journey.
- Praying & Talking w/God – Helped me through the entire race. I asked for strength, courage, endurance and stamina to complete the race. I also asked GOD to keep me safe, and injury free.
- What were my expectations and how did realty stack up?
- What didn’t I expect?
- My emotions and vulnerabilities?
