Episode # 920 - The Signs Of The Times Between 2001 And 2014

On this beautiful Thursday, besides the obvious beautiful weather around the Chicago area, the Carnival is starting up today at St Stans at 5 PM this afternoon, with Father Anthony reminding everyone to come out.  Due to President Obama going and helping in Poland, he mentioned St Stans itself there, talking about it in terms of the Polish heritage and relating it to that.   Some history is shared from the 1800's about St Stans itself, due to President Obama mentioning it, as well as the original Church, baptisms, and unfortunately funerals and hunts too.  Once again the topic of discussion again comes down to where we are in terms of the signs of the times, comparing years of 2001 and 2014, showing a shift in things that were at first talked about, then discussed further, and finally some that have happened in the last few years, raising much morale in America, as well as concern.  Historical references are made along these lines too, remarks from different figures in history, in particular Stalin and how he said America will destroy itself from within, with Christina comparing that statement to the fall of the Roman Empire.  The feeling of excitement is in the air with the Carnival starting up today, but also today is the Feast of St. Bonavis with Father Anthony sharing the history about him, especially when dealing with the problems we face.
