God the Son’s equality with God the Father means:

1. The Son is dependent on, and perfectly united with, the Father (vv19-20)
2. The Son has authority to do what only God can do (vv21-22)
3. The Son is to be honoured just as the Father is honoured (v23)
4. Life comes to those who hear and obey the Son’s voice (vv24-30)
