The God Shot: Galatians 3:13-14

"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit." (Galatians 3:13-14)

The Churches in Galacia had a lot of questions about how to please God. They wanted to honor Him and do what He required And Paul told them the best news ever. Jesus has already done what God requires of you. He took the curse you deserve and he traded it for His righteousness. He took the death you earned and granted you eternal life. And with that eternal life, God also grants us His Holy Spirit to live in our hearts by faith. And a few of the things Scripture says His Spirit does in us is give us new desires, guide us into truth, grant us obedience, repentance, and help us live in ways that please God. He's where the joy is!
