What to do when it’s hard to be a Christian

Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, a pastor in Durham, NC, has said that it is hard to be a Christian in the United States. Pastor Phil Kniss highlighted that discipling others in the way of Christ is at the core of what the church is about. Disciples are not just born. To follow Jesus is hard and requires a supportive community to help. Pastor Phil’s challenge to us is the question, “How are you finding your place in a discipling community?” In Hebrews 10:19-25, the writer stresses the importance of coming together regularly to disciple each other.
