All of us have a story to tell. How you tell your story is through content. Content can be delivered in the written word, through audio (like this) podcast, and my favorite, video.
To help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Just How High You Can Fly being released on Amazon yesterday, I’m going to be highlighting the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn.
Today it’s Sally Illingworth, tomorrow, Shay Rowbottom, Wednesday, Sam Lister, Thursday, Jackie Hermes, and Friday Quentin Allums or “Q."
Sally is from Australia and the first person I noticed spitt’n fire with video on LinkedIn. She was articulate, young, and pulled no punches in her content. One of her hashtags was #brainsoverbreast
What really drew me to Sally’s energy was her ability to tell stories. She is a fantastic storyteller and unlike some of the other influencers I’ll talk about this week, doesn’t really do the, “you can do it” – she doesn’t have to. As Sally tells her story, you are immediately drawn in. The inspiration comes through her storytelling that is applicable to a wide range of people.
When I asked her about how to overcome the negative thoughts of, “I’m not good enough” or “someone else is already doing what I want to do.” She said, “what you must remember is most people start from the same place that you’re at.
