In this message, Deacon Eyinna explores Moses’ blessing over the tribe of Levi and shows how God can transform even a curse into a blessing. Through the lens of Scripture, and a vivid illustration from The Lord of the Rings, he highlights the biblical principle of representation: that one person’s actions can shape the destiny of many.
Though Levi’s violence once brought a curse (Genesis 49), the zeal of his descendants at the golden calf turned that curse into consecration (Exodus 32). In Deuteronomy 33, Levi becomes God’s “holy one,” entrusted with the Urim and Thummim, called to teach God’s law, offer sacrifices, and live scattered among Israel as a blessing.
This transformed inheritance points to the greater reality fulfilled in Christ. Just as Levi’s descendants received holiness and substance through representation, believers receive perfect righteousness, priesthood, and God Himself as their portion, not by merit, but through Jesus, the second Adam. What was once judgment becomes grace.
