We begin a new series for the season of Advent in 2019 by looking at some of the songs that have been written to glorify God at this time of year. Advent is the season of preparation for the celebration of Christ's coming, and also the anticipation for His return. We begin by looking at this text from Isaiah 40 against the backdrop of the Charles Wesley hymn, "Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus," and discover how truly remarkable that Jesus was "born a child and yet a king."
