Aug 20 – The Gospel of John, Pt 34 – Jesus washes the disciples’ feet

Today’s passage begins with a parable in action. Instead of a discourse or a message, it begins with the deeds of Jesus in the washing of the disciples’ feet. And in that remarkable event, simple as it was, and yet strange in many ways, the Apostle John sees some very deep and remarkable meaning. We’ll talk about that a whole lot more in a minute.
