GODFLIX 1: Brooklyn (Greg Meyer) Aug. 7

Brooklyn had 3 Oscar nominations for a reason. Its cinematography is gorgeous, authentic to early 50’s NYC & Ireland, and it is beautifully acted and produced, but that’s the frosting. The cake is the relevance of its messages. Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan) has to make some of the biggest choices of her life, then gets a chance to choose all over again.
