SOCCER: Galway United manager Phil Trill with Galway Bay FM’s MIke Rafferty ahead of their Women’s Premier Division opener against DLR Waves

The new SSE Airtricity League Women's Premier Division season begins on Saturday (8th March 2025) when Galway United hosts Dublin's DLR Waves.

The Tribeswomen were 4-0 victors when they last met in September 2024.  United enjoyed a best-ever third placed finish, six points behind victors Athlone Town.  DLR Waves came 10th and have been beaten, and have yet to score, in all four previous meetings against Galway United.
