Dr. John McGrail is a clinical hypnotherapist, personal and corporate performance coach, and spiritual teacher located in the West Los Angeles / Santa Monica area, serving both private and corporate clients throughout Southern California, the U.S., and abroad. Dr. McGrail earned a BS degree from Cornell University and did graduate work in communication arts while serving as a commissioned officer and aviator in the United States Coast Guard. After distinguished careers in both military and commercial aviation and mass communications— film, television, and multimedia, he earned his initial certification in clinical Hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the nation’s first federally-accredited college of hypnotherapy. He graduated with honors and was the recipient of the Director’s Award for outstanding academic and clinical achievement. He was further honored with a special award for outstanding performance as an HMI clinical resident. He is frequently invited back as a guest lecturer and student career consultant. After HMI he went on to earn his PhD. in clinical hypnotherapy from Breyer State University in Los Angeles, and is now a member of the faculty, teaching both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in clinical hypnotherapy.
