The Samaritans were happy in their own religion, so why disturb them with the gospel? Because Jesus had said it must be preached "in Samaria and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Even so, the believers in Jerusalem were doubtful about sharing Christ with the despised Samaritans until God poured out his Spirit upon them. We too must learn that no-one is beyond the reach of the gospel.
