The fear the apostles experienced during the tempest was a real fear of death. While they were in the midst of the storm, the Lord, walking on the water, said to them: “Do not fear. It is I.” That’s why we don’t have to be afraid. Before Our Lord in the Eucharist, our mission is to go to Him. Our greatest fear should be being separated from Him; our greatest fear must be sin.
