Fr. Ed reflects on the 13th chapter of Jeremiah in which the prophet prepares the people of Jerusalem for exile by explaining how their pride, their pride, their disobedience, their stubbornness & their idolatry has brought them to impending destruction. This was their choice. But he says this was not God's desire. His desire was that they should be His people, His renown, His praise & His beauty.
