Mid-Session 17 Jul 18: Energy stocks tumble as crude oil prices drop

The local sharemarket is being weighed down by heavy falls in the energy sector after the price of crude oil dropped 4% overnight. The ASX 200 is down 14 points or 0.2% to 6,227.
