Father Koys is back after being away for the last two weeks due to events and masses conducting for Holy Week and Easter, as well as sadly a funeral. But now he's here and excited to be with us. Today's topic is explaining music, as a philosophy, for everyone to understand that it has other meanings and uses besides listening to. To help with this, Father Koys uses several important historical periods in American history when music was beginning to make an impression and impact, particularly rock n roll. He also gives credit to a documentary he recently watched on the history of rock n roll. On the other hand, Father Koys explains that not only rock n roll, but also other music, such as opera, are discussed, provided with an example with a song from the opera by Puccini, Madam Butterfly, helping to address how music is a philosophy and it's various meanings. Towards the end of the show, Father Koys leans more on rock n roll music with as a philosophy in mind.
