Ted Reinstein, best known for WCVB's “Chronicle Magazine," has written another book, "Before Brooklyn: The Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color Barrier." It tells the 1945 story where a liberal Boston City Councilman, Izzy Muchnick, persuaded the Red Sox to try out three black players. Listen to the audio cast of Reinstein on his new book and the fate of these previously unsung men. Recorded by CCTV at the Canton Public Library.
