about the doctrine of eternal Sonship-s2e52 Cogitations

The eternal sonship of the Christ is a difficult doctrine for me. It is not that it is hard for me to understand and refute but that it is so obviously wrong to me that it is hard for me to understand why anyone would hold that belief. I don't understand the payoff. Sadly, this may be evident in this podcast episode. Hopefully I do a good job of, at the least, laying the foundation of refuting the idea that the second member of the Godhead was eternally the Son. Let me know what you think.
