Here Comes The King | Sunday Sermon

Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a donkey fulfilled prophecy and signified his identity as a humble, peaceful king rather than a conquering political leader. The crowd celebrated him with shouts of “Hosanna,” laying cloaks and palm branches before him, but their expectations were shaped more by political hopes than spiritual truth. The speaker emphasizes that just as the people then misunderstood Jesus’ purpose, we too can misjudge his intentions when we seek only external solutions and ignore inner transformation. Ultimately, the message challenges us to receive Jesus not just in appearance or ritual, but deeply and fully into the temple of our hearts, surrendering completely to his reign.
