US Mid-Session: US lower as Trump policy changes challenge investors. 7 Feb 17

US sharemarkets were softer on Monday as investors switched from shares to safe-haven assets given the absence of fresh economic and corporate news to drive interest in equities. Investors are waiting for key policies of the new US administration to be implemented such as tax cuts, infrastructure spending and changes to health care. But shares in Hasbro rose 14% after earnings from the toymaker beat forecasts. With an hour of trade to go the Dow Jones index was lower by 28 points or 0.1%.
