European Parliament calls for more gender balance in the media - Clune

The European Parliament adopted a report this week calling for more gender balance in Europe's media. Estimates say that only about a quarter of newspaper journalists in the EU are women. Deirdre Clune, a Fine Gael MEP who coted for the report, says the reality on the ground doesn't make sense when compared to the amount of women who study journalism and media.
