TGIF everyone and joining us today is fellow guest host that has been on now and again, Mark Kurowski from Benedictine University, who has been on before and happy to be here, joined by Christina today, subbing in for Father Anthony Bush's break. Today, Mark focuses on Spiritual Direction, with Mark advising you all to visit his Facebook page if you want to take part in this discussion either while listening or after listening to the show, live or podcast, or at: myspiritualadvisor.com. Touching on this idea of what Spiritual Direction is in terms of it's growing popularity with people, as well as what it is and isn't, and what we should be doing with this or who gives us Spiritual Direction. Besides all these areas for Spiritual Direction, Mark gives his own personal experiences with the Spiritual Direction he has received, as well as how he got involved with it. To give our loyal listeners an idea of what Spiritual Direction is, it's defined a bit by our relationship with the Holy Spirit and when we have problems, the guidance given here to lead us toward Moral Servitude. Mark discusses with us after the first break, what Spiritual Direction/Advice isn't, sharing stories about encounters Mark has had, being a Spiritual Director himself, with people going through things and coming to him for this, leading to some very serious subject matter and what a Spiritual Director talks about, does, and gives to a person. Also, Mark advises everyone, as Father Anthony has done in the past, giving us a brief idea of Spiritual Direction/Advice for all of us listeners, to at least take 2 minutes of your life to listen to God, thereby turning off the radio, TV, cell phone, computer, whatever and take at least 2 minutes to listen to what He has to say.
