Worthy of such a mother- Fr Rene Zambrana

Margaret Clitherow, when they condemned her to death, paid the man in thanks for giving her the best news of her life. “The best thing I can desire for my children is that they die martyrs like the pleasure you’re giving me today.” Our Lady is like the mother of the Maccabees: She’s not a mother who has pity, but rather a woman who encourages her children to lie for their faith. Let us ask for the grace to be children worthy of such a mother.
