Market Close 28 Sep 16: Market edges higher just before the close

The ASX 200 has finished the session down up 0.1%, climbing into positive territory just before the close. Strong gains in the utilities, consumer staples and healthcare sectors helped to support the market. While mining & energy stocks were the laggards.
