Episode # 896 - The Start Of May And Signs Of The Times

On this "wintery day" as Father Anthony opens the show today, with the second week of Easter and the First day of May coming up, Father Anthony has much to look forward to, weddings and communions, but also flowers coming and hopefully warm weather.  Unfortunatly bad, sad news for one our own that of St Stans got robbed and killed at a Blackhawks game and his funeral is this weekend, devestated that such a nice man was dealt this and only in his thirties but all our thoughts and prayers go out to his family for this tragedy.  However on a good note, Father Anthony reminds everyone that Takesha Kizart's opera performance is tomorrow night too.  Father Anthony first talks about all the bad, grusome news that has been occurring recently, some international with terrorists turning toward crucifixtion, by crucifiying their enemies again over in Syria, showing that true evil exists and shocking.  On these lines brings up the notion of technology and peoples obsession with/of picture taking in terms of using cell phones, and with all this, what do people do with their time while doing this, while reflecting the times and their differences.  More on the Canonization of the two Popes are talked about further, as well as what St. Stans did/has done with this event and history too on them, with what they have done and continue to do.
