US Close 28 March 19: US stocks end lower as sellers retain upper hand

 

US sharemarkets lifted from the lows but ended weaker on
Wednesday. Shares in the semiconductor sector fell 1.45% in
response to the latest sales forecast from German chipmaker,
Infineon. The Dow Jones index ended lower by 32 points or 0.1%
after being down 232 points. The S&P500 index fell by 0.5%. And
the Nasdaq index lost 48 points or 0.6%.
