People are often pigeon holed into 'neat' categories, which are based on old patriarchal systems designed to create dominance and control over CIS and Trans women.
This system of oppressive hierarchy erases the multifaceted individuality of each individual, their emotional, physical, psychological, sexual and spiritual needs. Ultimately making the world a smaller and less interesting place for us all.
In our conversation we discuss discrimination in healthcare based on gender and race and how our society is changing to accommodate better inclusivity and awareness.
We also discuss the difference between 'women' and 'female' from a biological perspective and from a socially constructed viewpoint, aka the choice of how we identify ourselves and explore the research and dialogue which is needed to rectify the imbalance, perception and assumption that continues to surround us.
