We know that God can heal. We don’t doubt that. Occasionally we even see evidence of it in our own lives or the lives of others we know. Yet we also know of many Christians who live with on-going illness (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual) who don’t seem to be able to find full relief and recovery from their struggle. Why is that? Is this something we have become accustomed to, perhaps believing falsely that such suffering is God’s will for us? Have we become too timid in our prayers for healing? Do we suffer from unbelief – lacking faith in God’s compassion and goodness? Perhaps now is a good time to review the Scriptures on this subject and see.
