Jesus called us to live life beyond ourselves in Matthew 6: 19,20- "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth . . . But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." And He gives us two good reasons:
Heavenly treasures last--no rats or thieves! And they focus our hearts: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (verse 21)
