Appena dopo il Natale la Chiesa ci presenta l'identità del vero discepolo: Santo Stefano, come Gesù, subì persecuzioni e martirio. In ogni secolo i veri cristiani subiscono varie forme di persecuzione.
Come ha fatto Stefano pensiamo al cielo e preghiamo per chi ci fa del male, così somiglieremo a Cristo e Lui ci ricompenserà.
