116. The Power of Silence In Coaching

Silence is one of the least discussed and one of the most important keys to coaching. Will Rogers said “Never miss a good chance to shut up.” Silence lets you do that and you don't need an excuse.  Another quote I love is this one. “I've begun to realize that you can listen to silence and learn from it. It has a quality and a dimension all its own.” ― Chaim Potok, The Chosen

What you can learn in a moment of silence is very profound, and the one of the foundations to coaching. Use it and your influence and impact will continue to grow. Go grow you influence as you learn to listen more effectively so your impact will grow.  

And I love this quote “Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.” ― Leonardo da Vinci - If you want to increase your authority increase your ability to listen in silence.
