Inflation driven by fiscal expansion and money creation

The inflation debate has been one consistent theme in 2021. In this podcast Gareth Aird, Head of Australian Economics and Belinda Allen, Senior Economist discuss how the potent combination of Quantitative Easing and direct cash payments from government to households will boost future spending and lead to higher consumer inflation over the next few years.  We retain our call that the RBA will commence normalising the cash rate in May 2023.
