Feel the rhythm of the 16th edition of Scoring At The Movies as we travel to Calgary and Jamaica, mon, to laugh at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Okay, we didn’t laugh at the Olympics themselves, just like we didn’t really laugh while watching Cool Runnings.
Disney’s sports flicks always have a heart, but they sure are duds if you pine for consistent frivolity. It’s great to see John Candy in one of his last films though (what a treasure we lost when he died in 1994) and the 4 bobsledding stars do solid enough work in this heavily adapted real-life story.
In addition to our bobsled chat, we’ve got some social media and website news about future Scoring At The Movies eps!
