Mid-Session 19 September 19: Aussie shares lift but dollar falls on jobs data

The Aussie sharemarket is rebounding from yesterday’s losses, firmly higher with broad based gains at lunch on Thursday. The ASX 200 lifting as much as 61 points in the first few hours of trade. The market has been boosted by the surprise uptick in the unemployment rate to 5.3% which could see the RBA cut interest rates earlier than previously expected. This follows the US Fed cutting rates earlier today.
