Episode # 856 - The Season Of Lent

It's officially the Season of Lent now this week and begins the 40 Days of giving up something and Father Anthony begins the show with everyone on Lent, not only it's literal meaning of "long" but also it's other uses and purposes, as well as a bit more history.  Everyone shares their opinions on this too and what they think about this with some ideas/opinions on this, as well as talking about and covering the purpose and meaning of ash/ashes on Ash Wednesday.  With all the talk of Lent going on, since it's happening now, Father Anthony and everyone share personal history and memories from when they celebrated this season, as well as reasons for people doing things during Lent.  Father Anthony also talks about the Crucifix and it's importance, not only now but in general for all of us and families to have in the home.  After the first break, Father Anthony talks about the Pope a bit more with this and takes a different turn, as well as praying for those who are in need of it in hospitals, recently born, stressed, and others.  Father Anthony also shares with us not only the stress/distress here in the United States, but also across the world in Ukraine and Russia, with not only the problems they are facing, but the thought that maybe God is bringing/leading a cataclysm due to icons weeping, leading to the question raised, "Why is this happening?"  The answer possibly can be shaking, a warning possibly to a coming crisis or disaster and the need to pray for peace.  With these weeping icons, God could also be giving us hints to pray to Him and help us be guided by Him or  He's telling us something positive or we need to do something.
