US Close 14 Mar 17: Markets awaiting FED, oil lower and intel takeover in focus

US sharemarkets ended mixed on Monday. Investors await the Federal Reserve rates decision on Wednesday and are cautious ahead of the Netherlands general election. Shares of driverless technology maker, Mobileye, rose by 28.2% after chipmaker Intel agreed to buy the company for $15.3 billion. The Dow Jones index fell by 21.5 points or 0.1% after trading in a 81 point range. The S&P 500 index was flat while the Nasdaq was higher by 14 points or 0.2%.
