The Exorcist (1973)

This month we're finally covering one of the most famous (and infamous) horror movies of all time, The Exorcist, directed by William Friedkin and written for the screen by William Peter Blatty based on his 1971 novel of the same name. 

It is the first installment in The Exorcist franchise, and the story follows the demonic possession of a 12-year old girl and her mother’s attempts to rescue her through an exorcism conducted by two Catholic priests. The film stars Ellen Burnstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, Jason Miller, and the unforgettable Linda Blair.
