The Admirers want the gift but not the giver, they want the product but not the process. Like Simon the Sorcerer, they want to use money to purchase the gift of God. Several times like Simon they follow Christ physically but their heart is only after anointing and power but they are not ready to deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Christ.
