Proverbs 3:5-6 God is a god of order.
It’s new years time… in less than a month.. do you make resolutions? Goals? I would bet you at least think about it… maybe just hoping things would get better.
I am into having a vision for my life… every area.
Then building systems into my life to create that vision. I have said before I am huge into creating systems or lifestyle patterns if you will regarding my “best planned life”.

I am into having a vision for my life… every area.
Then building systems into my life to create that vision. I have said before I am huge into creating systems or lifestyle patterns if you will regarding my “best planned life”.
What are my current systems? Here is just a taste…
Monday and Wednesdays sleep in till 7 and hang out in bed with my wife for a few hours…
Every other day up at 5am.
Every day work out at 3-5pm
Twice a week at night practice Muay Thai
Every drive to work listen to a book on tape 945 minute drive)
Every lunch listen to an instructive podcast
Every drive home listen to music that helps me create my own music
Every day at 10-11:30’sh have my prayer and quiet time.
Every Wednesday 9-12 writing, 12-5 sermon prep
Every Thursday 10-2 sermon prep
Every Saturday 7am - 2 sermon prep
Every Friday from 12 on is date day
Every Sunday preach, teach and hang out with my family.
Every night from 7-11 is reading, working on entrepreneurship, doing social media and hanging out with family at home.
Now through out my week I get interrupted with counseling, church meetings and even side jobs training firearms.
I also train clients from anywhere from 6am to 9am on some mornings.
Those systems are in place to give me freedom.
Now the other things that I do is I practice the idea behind the book 7 habits of highly effective people. I know my roles.
They are Family man
Pastor
Entrepreneur
Musician
Health
I choose to do a few things every week for these roles. I choose to do the important and not just urgent… important can be run over by the urgent… but I fight that. Meaning… when someone says I need to meet with you about my problem can we do Thursday at 3 I say sorry I have an appointment at that time… and I do - its working out. That is important… the other is just urgent.
And finally I break all my visions or goals or roles if you will into a simple system mindset like this? AND THIS IS NOT NEW… IT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A 100 PLUS YEARS, BUT STILL WORTH SHARING.
Goals without deadlines are fantasy
Goals with deadlines - objectivity
Goals with deadlines and a plan = intention
Goals with deadlines and plan and consistent action = success
And meaningful goals and deadlines and a plan plus consistent action = fulfillment.
