Jacob Rees Mogg is a figure that once upon a time some people considered a future leader of the Conservative Party. He seemed to hold Thatcherite views, is well educated and erudite, and has certainly carved out a public reputation as "The Moggster". Yet he went missing during Covid, said nothing and has re-emerged as someone who is disinterested in the changing demography of the UK.
