US Mid-session 9 Feb 18: Higher business costs due to inflation again worrying markets.

US markets fell at the open of trade following slides in Europe. Overnight more inflation concerns Bank of England governor stating rates would need to rise "earlier" and by a "somewhat greater extent" than they thought at their last review in November.
