Kids & Family:Education for Kids
Your freshman year in college is full of new experiences and discoveries. Adulting for the first time can be quite a shock with new responsibilities and autonomy. The fast pace and rigor of college curriculum may come as a surprise. Many students head to college without a realistic view of what their new life will be. This is a transition that is a big move for both student AND parent.
In this episode, School Dazed Show Intern, Madison Elikins and I sat down with a mother daughter duo. Karen Thomas is Professor of Practice at Southern Methodist University, and her daughter Brooke Watson is a Junior at Spelman College. They shared great information and advice about the first year in college for both student and parent.
