Morning Report 2 Nov 20: US sharemarkets eased on Friday

Shares in Apple lost 5.6%, Amazon fell 5.5%, Twitter lost 21.1% and Facebook fell 6.3%. But Alphabet (Google) rose by 3.8%. The Dow Jones index fell by 157.5 points or 0.6%. The S&P500 index fell by 1.2% and the Nasdaq index fell by 274 points or 2.5%. Over the week the Dow fell by 6.5%; the S&P 500 fell by 5.6%; and the Nasdaq down 5.5%. For the month the Dow fell by 4.6%; the S&P 500 lost 2.8%; and the Nasdaq lost 2.3% - most since March.
