US Close 12 Sept 16: American stocks hit 2-month lows

US stocks hit their weakest levels in a couple of months following concerns the Fed could be closer to lifting interest rates than previously thought. A Fed official said the central bank has been too slow in lifting rates. The market is still only pricing in a ~30% chance of a rate hike next week when the Fed meets next.
