Morning Report 06 Feb 19 : S&P 500 breaks 5 day winning streak

 

* US sharemarkets were mixed on Wednesday as investors mulled
latest earnings results. Tech stocks were supported by gains in
chipmakers. But videogame makers fell. Shares in Electronic Arts
fell 12.4% after earnings fell short of forecasts. Shares in Capri
Holdings (formerly Michael Kors) rose 11.6% after it raised its
revenue forecast. With an hour of trade to go the Dow Jones index
was down by 30 points or 0.1%. The S&P500 index was down by
0.3%. And the Nasdaq index was lower by 35 points or 0.5%.
