Tonight Maartin is preaching on the false battles that come our way, designed to keep us distracted from the battle that we were ordained to win. This is something that every believer faces.
The Enemy will always present another enemy that is not the real enemy to keep you distracted from fighting the one that you’re called to defeat.
When David arrived at the battlefield, he was faced with 3 battles, but he only engaged in 1 of them. (1 Samuel 17)
The first one was with his brother Eliab, David’s oldest brother. David was saying that he is not going to fall for this. If David had to stand there and argued with his brother Eliab, he would’ve never even seen his enemy. The devil wants us to fight against what we are supposed to be fighting for.
Next, David had to go through Saul, his king, who should have been supporting and celebrating him. Saul saw him as just a boy, not who God saw him as. David had fought the bear, and the lion, he did not allow Saul to bring him down and he went on to face Goliath, his real battle!
