239 The Turpin Family House of Horror

Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. Today's topic is no exception. Today Art and I tell you about the Turpin family. Back in 2018 the news world was abuzz after 17 year old Jordan Turpin placed an infamous 9-1-1 call detailing the abuse of herself and her siblings. Eventually authorities would discover that multiple children were shackled to their beds, starved, and left to live in their own excrements while mother and father enjoyed lavish trips to Disneyland,  Las Vegas, and many other luxuries. The Parents were arrested and eventually sentenced to life in prison....and the children lived happily ever after...or so we all thought. It wasn't until "20/20" and Diane Sawyer daughter up with two of the Turpin daughters to discover that the 13 children who escaped parental hell were being put there another kind of hell....which was the system that was SUPPOSED to take care of them. Crazy topic this week guys...like Art says at the end "Try to be a little nicer to someone this week"
